Hey all,
Sorry that I am a day late with my announcement, I got a bit side-track with a couple of things, and when I had time to write the article, it was a bit late and I was a little too tired to write. Now, I'm a bit more awake and ready to tackle the day.
Anyway, let's get to the meat of this journal. On both here and Facebook, I got a good amount of advice, but I will say some of it is pretty contradictory. One guy told me that I should have a deadline, focus on reaching my goal, and finishing it or I will always feel like I'm never going to progress. The other guy told me that I shouldn't sweat the small stuff, that I shouldn't try to give Monsturra a definite final design, and I should just have fun with it, basically, instead of trying to be perfect. However, I do think many of them is missing the point of my last journal.
What's going on is, really, I am just plain out burnt out of doing this whole thing. Now, that sounds like I am quitting, but I'm not. The matter is that I still have a passion and desire to have a original IP kaiju character of my own, but the drive is a bit weak at the moment, mostly due to having crash and burn a few times. Being a lazy person in general makes me not want to do all the hard work that is require to do the whole storytelling thing, and throwing on top of being always worn out/disinterest in completing the story is actually doing more mental harm to me than anything else.
So, I have decided to follow the advice of one of my friends on DA, take a break until those creative juices come back. It's best to get some rest, then tackle the problem head long instead of constantly dragging out ideas that you feel aren't going to work, and make you want to give up. I'm in no way going to stop drawing anytime soon, but I do wish to branch out a bit and just put the Behemoth Chronicles on the backburner, for now. I'm not going to make a deadline for the whole rest thing either.
Later,
Jake

Is this the End?
Hey all, I have been thinking about this for a while, but I am thinking about just ending my time here on DeviantArt. Lately, I haven't been feeling like posting artwork on here, especially since I do have a Instagram and Facebook accounts to do such a thing. That, and I have let my Deviants post and posted artwork go on for a while. Does that mean I will shut down this account? No, and maybe I will still post my artwork on here, but I have decided that, it's for the best, to give this site a long rest. Almost all my friends have left, no longer contact me, or even post stuff on here, and I figure why bother staying put. Oh well, that's all I really have to say. Until next time, Jake
This sucks
Well, I found out that using my XP-Pen Artist 12 might not work on my computer. It does work, but it messes with the monitor's screen (leaving a bunch of noise on it), and I was using a very cheap looking HDMI adapter (not sure of the brand and it came in a plain plastic bad). So, I don't know if it's the computer not being able to handle the dual screens, the fact that it's a shitty splitter, or a combination of the two. This is starting to feel like a major waste of money.
The Digital Question-Update
Update: I decided to get a XP-Pen Artist 12, as it is afforable and looks like it works fine. I don't need a super expensive pen display, just a good one. Hey all, I'm doing alright, though I'm not fully spectacular feeling. I'll be alright, so no worries. Anyway, my friends, I want to ask you all a question. I've been thinking of getting a drawing tablet so I can do my artwork digitally, and I was wonder what you would recommend? I'm looking for something with a screen (so I don't have to constantly look at the screen, then draw, which totally breaks up my flow), easy to use, that's wireless or have the ability to be used on a desktop, and is pretty cheap (up to $400 USD). While I do like drawing traditionally, I'm still wondering about getting a tablet to draw digitally. So, what would you recommend? Later, Jake
Name Change Revival
Well, screw it! I have decided to change my main kaiju name back to Monsturra, and that's just his name. I will keep Titanagon/Titaragon for a different creature.
I just was feeling nostalgic for the old name, and it does has a classic kaiju feel to it.
