Hey all,

Sorry that I am a day late with my announcement, I got a bit side-track with a couple of things, and when I had time to write the article, it was a bit late and I was a little too tired to write. Now, I'm a bit more awake and ready to tackle the day.

Anyway, let's get to the meat of this journal. On both here and Facebook, I got a good amount of advice, but I will say some of it is pretty contradictory. One guy told me that I should have a deadline, focus on reaching my goal, and finishing it or I will always feel like I'm never going to progress. The other guy told me that I shouldn't sweat the small stuff, that I shouldn't try to give Monsturra a definite final design, and I should just have fun with it, basically, instead of trying to be perfect. However, I do think many of them is missing the point of my last journal.

What's going on is, really, I am just plain out burnt out of doing this whole thing. Now, that sounds like I am quitting, but I'm not. The matter is that I still have a passion and desire to have a original IP kaiju character of my own, but the drive is a bit weak at the moment, mostly due to having crash and burn a few times. Being a lazy person in general makes me not want to do all the hard work that is require to do the whole storytelling thing, and throwing on top of being always worn out/disinterest in completing the story is actually doing more mental harm to me than anything else.

So, I have decided to follow the advice of one of my friends on DA, take a break until those creative juices come back. It's best to get some rest, then tackle the problem head long instead of constantly dragging out ideas that you feel aren't going to work, and make you want to give up. I'm in no way going to stop drawing anytime soon, but I do wish to branch out a bit and just put the Behemoth Chronicles on the backburner, for now. I'm not going to make a deadline for the whole rest thing either.

Later,
Jake
