Jiragon Sketches

This is 's new kaiju called Jiragon.

Actually, I should say this in soncept work for Jiragon, who is a monster that originated as a subsitute for the original American Godzilla from the 1994 script. No, I don't think that lessens his value as a kaiju, but the origin for the ol' Goji in that story fits better this kaiju better.

With that said, this basic sketch comes from 's basic idea:

1. Dromaesaur claws
2. An Allosaur like head, albeit with a LOT of horns
3. A iguanadon style thumb spike
4. A lot of bio armor, like the Guyver, with scaly, reptilian flesh between the plates
5. A humanoid body structure, albeit with digitigrade feet and short arms.
6. A red/green color scheme, perhaps green armor with red skin in between the plates?

I think I still have to work on it. Of course, I would ask if I could leave out the shoulder or thigh spikes? I think they get in the way of his design.

Just a thought.
